A Berlin native, Paul works as a cinematographer and director. His work has been featured on Netflix, by the NYTimes and at Neue Nationalgalerie. Trained as an architect and photographer in New York, he went on to study at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Living across Europe, the United States and in Southern Africa, his work draws upon his multicultural sensitivities and varied perspectives. He speaks German, Danish and English and works in a diverse range of contexts - recently in Naples, Ouagadougou and Marseille.

Collaborating with an eclectic mix of directors and visual artists, Paul marries in his cinematography fictional and documentary approaches and frequently takes on experimental projects. As a director he is driven by thorough research, a fundamental fascination for the people around him and a visual curiosity for the world at large. Ultimately, Paul brings an aspirational approach to filmmaking, believing that in the daily flood of images, the ones that stand out are the ones recorded with care.
